October 2017 Student of the Month: Velta Brenya


On Friday, October 13, 2017, the Mansfield Kiwanis were honored to recognize Velta Brenya as Student of the Month for October 2017. Velta is a Senior at Timberview High School, has an estimated GPA of 100.618 and is ranked 10th in her class. She is the Secretary of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), a member of the National Honor Society, the Historian for the Art Club, and a member of the Christian Club.  Velta is also a regular volunteer at Kindred Hospital and the nursery at her church. Additionally, she is currently enrolled in the Pharmacy Technician Program at Ben Barber.  After graduation, Velta hopes to attend Baylor University and wants to become a Dermatologist. She also enjoys photography in her spare time and previously received the Music Alley photography award. Also in attendance for the receipt of her Student of the Month Award was Velta’s mother, Grace Brenya.  The Mansfield Kiwanis are extremely proud to recognize Velta as a Student of the Month. We wish Velta the best of luck in all of her future endeavors.  Congratulations!
