Steve Hallford: Making His Own Music

President Elect Steve Hallford stepped in last Friday to fill in for a speaker and what a treat!  Steve shared his hobby (passion?) for building guitars with the Club.  Steve’s stories included not only information on how he got started but he also brought along pieces of his current project and slides from his prior builds.  If you missed Friday then you missed some amazing stories and Steve playing on one of his one creations.  Thank you Steve for sharing your love of making guitars with the Club.

The Kiwanis Club of Mansfield not only focuses on serving the children of Mansfield but we also strive to bring quality speaker to our weekly meetings.  If you want to hear from outstanding speakers like Steve, please join us on Friday morning for breakfast at 6:45 AM at the Methodist Mansfield Medical Center.

The Next Generation of our Club's Leaders

The Next Generation of our Club’s Leaders

A desire to serve the children of Mansfield and the world may bring us to the Kiwanis Club of Mansfield; however, it’s the friendships that are developed between the members that really binds the club and keeps members engaged and staying active with the Club.

Club members and their families enjoying Gary Mill’s Back Patio

On Saturday, June 11th, our Club members and their families were able to come together for fellowship and enjoy the amazing back patio at Gary Mill’s house; plus some outstanding burgers, brats And chicken prepared by Simmons, Omer and Hallford.  The food was plenty so if you left hungry it was your own fault.  All who attended enjoyed an evening of relaxation and good times whether sitting in the shade or playing cornhole.  The Summer Social was a reminder of how great our Club members and their families are.  We are truly a blessed Club!
